The University of North Texas Department of History offers minors in:

  • History: Develop a deeper understanding of the past while building critical thinking, research, and communication skills that complement any major.
  • Mexican-American Studies: Explore the histories, cultures, and experiences of Mexican-American communities through an interdisciplinary curriculum that connects past and present.

Both minors are open to students from all majors and provide valuable, transferable skills in analysis, writing, and communication. Designed with flexibility in mind, these programs allow students to pursue their interests while enhancing their academic and professional goals.
