Overview: As the Graduate Program Specialist for UNT Sociology, Spencer Austin supports the
administration of Sociology's graduate programs and assists current and prospective
graduate students with a wide range of academic and administrative questions. He also
provides career readiness advising, manages the department’s professional development
workshop series, coordinates department events, and provides administrative support
for faculty and staff. He holds a PhD in History from SUNY Stony Brook, where he studied
radical social and political movements in 19th-century Europe and the United States,
especially the history of French-speaking social revolutionary movements.
